Our Work in Asia

Medical Teams International works in Asia, specifically areas in East Asia and Eurasia.

Health indicators in East Asia are nearly as poor as those in Africa. Additionally, road traffic accidents are one of the leading causes of death in several East Asian countries.

Eurasia, which includes Central Asia and Eastern Europe, has struggled tremendously since the collapse of the Soviet Union. Health care and other social services that were once free to everyone are no longer accessible to the majority of the population, but only to the people who can afford them.
