Scripture: Revelation 21:1–5
Theme: Home Restored

The story of displacement finds its resolution in Revelation. After all the wandering, exile, and longing, God declares, “Behold, I am making all things new.” A new heaven and a new earth. No more tears. No more death. No more separation. The dwelling place of God is with His people—and they are finally home.

To long for a better country is to live with holy anticipation. It’s to recognize that every earthly home is temporary, and that the home Christ prepares is eternal. This hope anchors us in seasons of loss and dislocation. It reminds us that restoration is coming—not just of place, but of peace, belonging, and perfect communion with God.

In the face of displacement, we hold fast to this promise: that one day, every exile will end, every tear will be wiped away, and every child of God will be welcomed home.

Prayer:
Lord, we long for the day when all will be safely home. When every exile ends, every tear is wiped away, and Your dwelling is with us forever. Until then, help us to live as citizens of heaven—bringing glimpses of Your kingdom to earth through love, justice, and hope. Amen.
