On the evening of April 4, Avenue Portland was filled with the sounds of applause, laughter, and cheers as paddle after paddle flew up into the air.

In a room filled with Medical Teams supporters — friends, current and former board members, volunteers, staff, and many who were completely new to us — guests rose to the moment and responded with open hearts to the needs of so many men, women, and children around the world.

As guests enjoyed and Ethiopian-inspired meal and cocktails, they listened to gripping, raw, and heartwarming stories from President and CEO Eric Ha, Chief Development Officer Tricia Caldwell, and Director of Marketing and Communications Dane Barnett who all recently returned from trips to our Ethiopia and Uganda country programs. As they shared their experiences, it was clear that the generosity of the Medical Teams community truly has the power to Unlock a World of Healing for millions around the world.

We are thrilled to share the following results from the evening’s festivities!

We also want to thank our event sponsors for helping make the evening a success: Alaska Airlines, Oregon State University Foundation, Pivot Group, and Selva Design House, as well as our coffee and wine sponsors, Insomnia Coffee Company and Stoller Wine Group.
