We are currently seeking volunteers for the following:

  • Dental, medical, and layworker volunteers in Oregon and Washington for our Care & Connect Mobile Health clinics.
  • Layworker volunteers to sort and pack supplies in our Oregon Distribution Center.
  • Volunteers with expertise in medical, public health, behavioral health, logistics, and other humanitarian specialties are needed for Disaster Response programs.

Dental Opportunities

If you are a dentist, hygienist, or chair-side assistant with a current state license to practice your profession, we’d love to have you join our volunteer teams in providing free dental care to low-income individuals with urgent needs.

Commit to one day a week, month, quarter, or year. Volunteers choose which day and how often. View available volunteer opportunities

In Oregon: We host clinics in Central Oregon, Coos County, Douglas County, Greater Portland area, Hermiston, Lane County, Mid-Willamette Valley area, Pendleton and Salem.

In Washington: We host clinics in Greater Seattle/Everett/Tacoma area, I-5 Corridor, Vancouver, North Central WA, Tri-cities and Walla Walla.

Distribution Center opportunities

Help prepare donated medical supplies and equipment for shipment to more than 100 countries. The following volunteer positions and shifts are currently available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Monday through Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in our Tigard, Oregon distribution center. After orientation, every volunteer starts as a medical supply sorter and packer. View all available positions below:

Equipment Operator: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Experience operating forklifts, stand-up reach, and pallet jacks preferred, but any type of industrial equipment experience is helpful.

With Medical Teams International’s U.S. Programs Disaster Response team, you can put your experience and expertise to work by helping people in their darkest hours. If you’ve ever felt helpless watching the headlines, or wondered what you can do in the face of a crisis, now’s your chance to act!

Our mobile disaster response team deploys to communities where disaster has struck. When health care systems are weakened, we work rapidly to meet the health care needs of people affected by the crisis. You’ll gain valuable experience, develop new skills, and enjoy the fulfillment of helping others through challenging times.
