Domestic Opportunities

If you live in the Pacific Northwest, we have volunteer opportunities available for all types of backgrounds and skill sets. In Oregon

Opportunities in our Distribution Center

Help prepare donated medical supplies and equipment for shipment to more than 100 countries. The following volunteer positions and shifts are available Monday through Thursday from 7:30am to 4:30pm and on Fridays from 8:00am to 12:30pm. Shifts are flexible!

All volunteers will need to sign up for an orientation and onboarding session prior to volunteering.

Medical Supply Packer: View position description

Medical Supply Sorter: View position description

Warehouse Volunteer: View position description  (must be able to lift 50 lbs.)

Equipment Operator: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Experience operating forklifts, stand-up reach, and pallet jacks preferred, but any type of industrial equipment experience is helpful.

Group Projects: Help us pack monthly medical shipments to send to refugees and partner agencies locally and globally. To inquire or to reserve a slot for your group please email volunteer@medicalteams.org. Please note: We are currently unable to accept weekend groups.

Opportunities with our Mobile Dental Program

If you are a dentist, hygienist, or chair-side assistant with a current and appropriate state license to practice your profession, we’d love to have you join our volunteer teams in providing free dental care to low-income individuals with urgent needs.

Commit to one day a week, month, quarter, or year. Volunteers choose which day and how often. Fill out an application now. 

Where: Oregon, Central Oregon, Coos County, Douglas County, Greater Portland area, Hermiston, Lane County, Mid-Willamette Valley area, Pendleton, Salem.

Greeters in the Real Life Exhibit

The Real Life Exhibit is a walk-through, multi-sensory exhibit that allows people to experience what real life is like for people affected by disaster, conflict, and poverty. Help Medical Teams International by volunteering to greet and guide groups through the Real Life Exhibit. Flexible weekday shifts, evenings, and weekends are available.

Administrative Opportunities

Support the Finance and Administration Department at our Tigard headquarters by assisting with a variety of administrative and reception related tasks. The primary focus will be covering duties at the front desk in 2 – 4 hour shifts. View position description.

Greeters in the Real Life Exhibit

Event Photographers

Do you have photography skills? Event photographer volunteers support the Redmond staff with various photography tasks and projects including major events. Photography volunteers must be comfortable sharing digital files quickly after an event/project for use in our digital marketing campaigns. Must be flexible and creative. Having your own equipment is a plus!
