(Portland, OR) December 8, 2021— The non-profit Medical Teams International is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a $143,000 grant from the Employees Community Fund of Boeing, Puget Sound Chapter. Over the years, the Employees Community Fund has funded nearly $500,000 in direct grants to Medical Teams International.
This generous gift will support Medical Teams’ U.S. Programs Vehicle Replacement Campaign. ECF approved Medical Teams International’s 2021 grant request in the amount of $143,000 to purchase a 39-foot mobile clinic. The vehicle features a reception area, one medical exam area/lab and one dental operatory area to bring dental and medical services to underserved populations in Washington.
“We are so grateful for the commitment to Medical Teams International from the ECF Puget Sound Chapter,” said Debra Hirsh, Medical Teams Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations. “This employee led fund made their first gift to Medical Teams in 1998 and has supported the Mobile Dental Program in Puget Sound since 2002. The work of Medical Teams in our community is only made possible through partnerships such as this. Thank you for your compassion and generosity.”
