(Portland, OR) December 27, 2021 – Massive tornadoes across Kentucky earlier this month claimed lives, displaced thousands of people, and destroyed homes, businesses, and livelihoods. Because needs remain great in the region, non-profits Medical Teams International and Goodwill Industries of the Columbia Willamette (GICW) are partnering to build critically needed hygiene supply kits for survivors.

This week, Medical Teams International is engaging its existing volunteer base to build 1,500 of its Compassion Force hygiene kits. Each kit costs $12 and provides enough hygiene items for one month, including shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, floss, Band-Aids, and a washcloth. Media are welcome to attend and interview our staff and volunteers.

WHEN: Wednesday, December 29, 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. PST

WHERE: Medical Teams International Distribution Center
14150 SW Milton Court, Tigard, OR 97224
