Vaccines: the impact for women and children around the world – Washington

January 30, 2020
6:30-8:30 PM
Bellevue, Washington - B3 Wealth Strategies

Join us for a Healthy Women, Healthy World gathering: Vaccines: the impact for women and children around the world.

Vaccines are a controversial topic for many, yet it is a topic that deserves conversation and gained understanding. Come join us to learn more from University of Washington faculty Dr. Helen Chu, M.D., M.P.H.

Dr. Chu earned her M.D. at Duke and her M.P.H. at the UW. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease. Her research is focused on maternal vaccines, in particular vaccines against influenza and respiratory syncytial virus. She studies the virologic and immunologic correlates of protection from respiratory viral infections in mothers and infants in rural Nepal and performs clinical trials of vaccine candidates in both domestic and international sites.

We will also have the opportunity to hear from Medical Teams International regarding our active programs, followed by Q & A time.
