Corporate Partners Making an Impact

Take a behind-the-scenes look at our partnership with Regence:

Regence Bridges the Gap by Providing COVID-19 Vaccines

Medical Teams is committed to going where we are needed most to deliver life-saving care to those who need it. Locally, this means travelling in our mobile vaccination clinics to underserved communities who have limited or no access to receiving a COVID-19 vaccine. Thanks to our partnership with Regence BlueCross/BlueShield, we have set up clinics across the Pacific Northwest to make vaccines accessible and available to those who need it. Recently, Medical Teams set up a mobile vaccination clinic in NE Portland, specifically reaching the LatinX community. In partnership with the Hopscotch Foundation, the clinic was hosted by Neighborhood School, Dual Immersion (Spanish/English) K-5 School and Rigler School.

Greeted with a burrito lunch and offered free produce, plants and personal care items, visitors were encouraged by teachers to get vaccinated. The support from the teachers, some of whom were hesitant themselves at first, encouraged parents to protect themselves and their children by getting the shot. The students showed their support with handmade posters declaring “Sí se puede! Juntos nos vacunamos.” (“Yes we can! Together we vaccinate.”) We are grateful for our partnership with Regence. Together, we are keeping our community healthy.

Partners in Vaccine Equity

We are proud to partner with some of the leading names in healthcare to provide vaccination clinics across the Pacific Northwest for underserved communities. The combined efforts of Providence Health Services, Kaiser Permanente, Regence BlueShield, Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon, and MultiCare are bringing the COVID-19 vaccines to communities that have limited or no access. Together, we are working towards vaccine equity in neighborhoods throughout Oregon and Washington.

The clinics are part of a community vaccination effort being led and funded by our health care partners. These clinics will run throughout the spring and early summer as we serve the neighborhoods where access to COVID-19 vaccines is difficult.

Medical Teams International’s expertise in mobile clinic operations allowed the program to begin serving community members soon after the health systems brought the idea forward.
