Our Work in Eurasia
The Eurasia region combines two areas: Central Asia and Eastern Europe. The region has struggled tremendously since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. Health care and other social services that were once free to everyone are no longer accessible to the majority of the population, but only to the people who can afford them. We partner with local government and non-governmental agencies to improve the quality of health care services available in Afghanistan, Moldova, Romania and Uzbekistan.

Teams and shipments
We'll send 19 volunteer teams to the Eurasia region this year. We also plan to ship an estimated $32 million in medical supplies and equipment to under-stocked hospitals and clinics.
