Uzbekistan EMS
Medical Teams International has provided Emergency Medical Services (EMS) training to road police, firefighters and health professionals in Uzbekistan since 2002. Our volunteers have trained 54 master trainers to conduct courses in emergency medicine at nine regional sites throughout Uzbekistan.
In just seven years, these master trainers have certified 7,000 medical first responders and 1,636 basic emergency medical pre-hospital care workers. In 2007, Medical Teams International started providing Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) training.
For information about our other work there, please see our Uzbekistan programs page.
