What We Do
Medical Teams International is a Christian global health organization, helping people affected by disaster, conflict and poverty in 70 countries. We deliver medical and dental care, humanitarian aid, and holistic development programs to all people in need, regardless of religion, nationality, sex, or race. We respond to disasters around the world—and here at home—by sending teams of volunteer medical professionals and medical supplies to care for the sick and injured. We also mobilize long-term health promotion initiatives, collaborating with established partners within each community to ensure that our programs have a sustainable impact.
We use internationally-accepted guidelines which are determined by the global health community. Our headquarters and field staff consistently review our commitments based on needs, capacity and potential for impact.

What makes us different?
Through dozens of strong, international and local programs, we help save and improve the lives of millions of suffering people in over 70 countries and here in the United States every year. Our international programs address needs as diverse as malnutrition in Sudan to emergency medical care training in Cambodia. In nearly all programs, we teach our partners and the people they care for the skills necessary to improve health practices and develop sustainable community well-being. In the United States, we maintain the largest mobile dental care fleet in the country, providing critical dental care to people who cannot afford to go to the dentist. One of the pillars of our reputation is our competence in disaster response. In situations of natural disaster, we are known as being one of the first agencies on the scene, delivering medicine and care in concert with local health authorities.
