January 17, 2010 - Noise

by Website Editor | Jan 17, 2010

Noise surrounding me, entering into every pore; dust flying, wind whipping my hair. People scrambling as planes fly in and out, rapidly unloading as they must leave so another can land. The sick sweet smell of death lies just beneath the smell of diesel, of dirt, of rotting garbage...hiding just around the next corner, waiting to assault me, enter me, and show me the face of its cruel lesson.

We do not know when tragedy will strike...where, when or how. But during this time, this short window of chaos, the true marrow of an individual is shown. The strength and beauty can still be found in mankind joining together here.

And this I believe is how we make sense out of this senseless horrific tragedy.
