“But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.” James 3: 17-18
“I was engineered, born for a particular reason...” This was in the opening of the movie “My sister’s keeper” that I watched on the plane. A statement made by Anna in the intro, who was intentionally born to be a donor for her leukemic sister. When I heard that line I thought “yes, these people I will see in the clinics were each born for a reason. God ordained that each of them should have life, and yet their life is so very difficult. I too am born for a reason, and am excited to see what that reason is in the next month… Thank you, Lord, for the privilege of serving with Medical Teams International.
I have been SOOO excited for this trip. Yes, stressed a bit getting ready with all the details to wrap up, but excited to be used in a meaningful way. It’s been too long and I’m overdue.
I was able to bring 3-70 lb bags with my flight this time, so I have about 191 lbs. of stuff…stethoscopes, oximeters, gauze, BP cuffs, food, medicines, etc. Can’t believe I got it all in. Unpacking was like watching Mary Poppins take things out of her carpet bag….
