We briefly have the questionable luxury of too many people here for Medical Teams International. It’s hard to find adequate temporary places to use the talents of this many doctors and nurses. Fred assigned three new ones to the mountain town of La Colleine where Medical Teams International may help restore the hospital.

The German medical team who used to work with us has a shortage of doctors and nurses this week and we loaned them some for their clinic. And the rest went out with the old team to learn the ropes of the mobile clinics.

Each team develops their own way of doing things, depending on the varied talents of the team. But they also benefit from learning what the old teams developed, so no one has to completely reinvent the wheel.

I helped with doing triage and intake, this time using our driver Gil as my interpreter, since all of the official interpreters were busy helping the doctors and nurses.
