Just 33 students send $320,732.10 in medicines and supplies

“We need to do something.”

“How can we make a difference?”

After Katie White and Karin Engelman took their classes from North Clackamas Christian School in Oregon City to visit the REAL. LIFE. Exhibit, they passionately wanted to help. What could they—only 33 students—do? Both classes began to pray every day for ideas.

The students decided to host a unique fundraiser: a lap-a-thon at a roller-skating rink. The students asked their parents, other relatives, and neighbors to sponsor them for every lap they skated.

When they finished, the students raised $2,467.17!  Astounding.

But the story doesn’t end there. Because Medical Teams International receives many donated medicines and medical supplies, for every $1, we can send $112 in medicines and supplies to hospitals and clinics that desperately need them.

As a result, a small group of 33 students will send $276,323.04 in medicines and supplies! That’s a miracle.

On behalf of all of the people who will be blessed by the compassion and faithfulness of this group of students, thank you.

Send us your I Can Make a Difference stories about how you, your school, youth group, or family is making a difference.

I'm only one person, but I can make a difference!
