Centennial High School takes action and gives $615

Social studies teacher Khandice Love loves her students. She’s passionate about helping them gain an awareness of global issues and their place in the world. Every year she takes her “Take Action” class to the REAL. LIFE. Exhibit and allows them to experience what real life is like for their peers in various part of the world. She assigns the students reflection questions and asks them to write a paper.

Khandice wrote, “My students were deeply moved and touched by this field trip. I'm so grateful that we have a venue like yours that can touch the heart and soul of future generations to be globally minded.”

But the students want to do more. They are students who are not only sympathetic and empathetic, but they believe in taking action. So along with their thanks, they sent a check for $615 for medical help and food for children in Africa.

As a result of their compasion and action, the students of Centennial High School are bringing healing and hope to hundreds of children in Africa. The students truly are making a difference.

Send us your I Can Make a Difference stories about how you, your school, youth group, or family is making a difference.

I'm only one person, but I can make a difference!
