STUDENT BECOMES THE TEACHER

Dono Akhmedova, 30, has been a driving school instructor in Uzbekistan for the past five years. During this time, she taught people how to drive, but never how to save a life. That is, until last summer.

Last summer, three volunteer paramedics with Medical Teams International came to the driving school to provide First Responder courses. Medical Teams International is carrying out a nationally-recognized Emergency Medical Services (EMS) training and dispatch project in Uzbekistan.
