Hats for Haiti
Mt. Tabor Middle School
On January 27 and 29, Mt. Tabor Middle School students and staff launched "Hats for Haiti". With head gear normally not allowed in school, students paid $3 to wear a hat to school for one day and $5 for two days. Aside from wearing the hats, the school also raised funds through homeroom campaigns.
With an initial school-wide goal of $1,000, students were given the incentive of an additional school dance where the profits will be donated to Haiti as well.
Students and their families surpassed this initial goal and presented Medical Teams International with a check for more than $3,000.
To the students, faculty, staff and families of
Mt. Tabor Middle School, our hats off to you!
