I am running because I CAN
Gail Bouthillier-Garcia was never a runner. She’s a loving mother to two young daughters, a devoted wife, a loyal daughter and sister, an avid reader, a hiking enthusiast and a travel aficionado. She’s all these but was never a runner.
Until November 14, 2010.
On that Sunday, Gail ran. She ran 13.1 miles in the San Antonio Rock n’ Roll Half Marathon in Texas. When asked “Why run?” her response was: “I am running for a cause. I am running in memory of my brother, Matthew. I am running because I CAN.”
