Why Partner with Medical Teams International?

Whether emerging or developed, all communities need wide access to health care as a foundation for other basic needs. Providing access to health care services results in a fertile environment for necessities such as education and economic development. Medical Teams International delivers health care efficiently and effectively, providing relief from preventable pain, suffering and death. Last year, we provided 2.5 million people in 52 countries with health care and humanitarian aid valued at nearly $190 million.

We also help people in need in our own backyard. Medical Teams International’s Mobile Dental Program is a safety net for children and adults in our community who lack insurance or a realistic way to pay for basic and urgently-needed services. Last year, we provided free dental health care valued at nearly $7 million to more than 17,000 people in the Pacific Northwest. Our local distribution program gives millions of dollars worth of medicines and personal hygiene products to more than 70 social service agencies in the Portland community.
