(SEATTLE, WA. June 3, 2013) – Medical Teams International’s 14th annual ‘Field of Dreams’ dinner and auction hit it out of the park at Safeco Field on Saturday evening, June 1st, raising a record $2 million to support the work of the humanitarian relief and development organization. A sold-out crowd of more than 980 people attended this major league event in Seattle, co-chaired by Former Seahawks head coach, Mike Holmgren & his wife, Kathy Holmgren, and Andy & Susan Hutchinson.
Steve Raible was emcee for the evening, and radio and former TV personality John Curley served as auctioneer.
“The generosity demonstrated at the Field of Dreams event was truly overwhelming,” said Jeff Pinneo, CEO of Medical Teams International. “To have so many compassionate people gathered together, recognizing the need in the world and, more importantly, willing to do something about it was incredible. What was raised Saturday night will have a lasting impact on the health and lives of our world’s most vulnerable.”
