(PORTLAND, ORE., June 13, 2012) – On June 13, 2012, Medical Teams International was honored as a 2012 Oregon Ethics in Business Award finalist.

The award honors businesses, non-profits and individuals for their contributions to business excellence and the highest standards of ethical conduct, integrity, and civic and social responsibility.  One of three finalists, Medical Teams International was nominated for going beyond the expected to achieve excellence in ethical business practices in the non-profit category.

Over its 32 year history, Medical Teams International has earned a reputation as a high integrity, high impact humanitarian relief organization. The organization’s financial leadership was recently recognized by the Portland Business Journal, who named Pamela Blikstad, Vice President and CFO of Medical Teams International the 2012 Non-Profit CFO of the Year. Additionally, Charity Navigator, the premier charity evaluator in the U.S., named Medical Teams International one of its “Ten Top-Notch Charities” in December 2011 out of the more than 5,000 nonprofits they track. For the fourth consecutive year, Medical Teams International earned the evaluator’s coveted 4-star rating for sound fiscal management and commitment to accountability and transparency.
