Field Update: MTI Volunteer Teams Helping Typhoon Recovery

by Katie Carroll | Jul 30, 2014

Today we wanted to share with you some photos from the field of our latest volunteer teams in the Philippines. After the devastating storm last November, you blessed typhoon victims with an outpouring of generosity. In addition to providing immediate emergency medical care, your gifts are also working to rebuild.

This week, volunteers from our partner Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue (TVF&R) arrived in Tacloban City to provide EMS/EMT Basic Training to three local fire departments. Also known as First Responder Training, the training will help rebuild the local infrastructure and capacity to respond to future disasters. Thank you for your incredible compassion and generosity. You are helping to save lives of future generations!
