In disaster response situations, specific medicines and supplies are needed. A standard package of these, called an Interagency Emergency Health Kit, has been defined by the World Health Organization that contains sufficient medical supplies to support at least 10,000 people for three months. The standardized kits allow any agency to assemble and any other agency to use.
